Backyard Kitchen + Brew

WOOHOOOO FINALLY!!!!

Okay just to say, I don't know why but since this restaurant first opened at the Grove, I've been wanting to go. Maybe because of Sam YG, or maybe because they have an open mic night, I'm not sure but ever since I found out about it I've been bugging Andio to go. Why we never went prior, I don't know either.

Sooooooo, on a Monday when I was off from work, he suddenly surprises me with the most delightful news to get dressed because we are going to BACKYARD!!! Woot Woot! Uptown center branch though but I didn't care 'coz I was like FINALLY.

Hello beautiful

Hello handsome

haha just so you guys know, Andio and I don't drink alcohol. That's mainly why we always go to restaurants than pubs. But it had been a rough time for the both of us so we both had a glass of booze.

Chicken skin coated with salted egg, (I want this right now!)

This was so gooooood. Demons of all diets. I'm salivating just thinking of this. Nomnom I've heard of chips with salted egg actually becoming a fad. Ill have to find some soon.

My bumped head picture. Me happy!

We got there so early that we walked around the mall for awhile and he bought this cellphone stand. Funny because he got it at a quirky store, you know the ones where there are so many weird yet cool stuff that you actually don't need but end up buying. I love those kind of stores and whenever we see one I ask to go in and he had just said......that theory, then he buys something. Funny. And he was so proud of it that he used it right away.

I'm kinda sad now that we didn't take as many pictures. But as they say, the most memorable moments are off cam, or something like that.

Bake 'n Bacon

Bacon anyone?

A weekend at Nuvali means a weekend of eating and who doesn't like BACON!!!!

Actually, I could mention a number of people I know who don't like bacon but anyways...

I read about this joint prior to our trip so pinipilit ko talaga na dito kami mageat kahit madamin ibang options. Newly opened around May this year they put bacon in everything.

I fell in love with the interior. Super comfy sya and at the same time super fun and lively. Every corner is Instagram worthy. The restaurant is also a board game place so you can play while waiting or even during your meal. If you have children with you, it'll settle them down for a while.

I wonder which one will make me fatter...

They have a charging station inside which is perfect now for POKE MON GO hunters. Nuvali is filled with a lot of poke stops btw. And plus no one wants to eat with someone always on their phone, so just charge it.

 The Menu
When you enter you have to order at the counter first which again isn't a problem for me.

We asked for the best sellers and this is what they recommended.

 bacon hash burger
Yes HASH. There's a hash brown at the bottom of the burger.

 Maple Fried Chicken php252

This one was a little to savory I guess. The maple syrup is mixed up in the rice and it was a little too over powering.

They even have bacon ice cream and a bacon mikshake but since we wanted to try other places later in the day we didn't order a lot from here.

We did play some games

So thats it. If you want a whole lot of bacon fat into your system or just love food I do suggest this place. Fulling and fulfilling.

Brickfire Oven Roasted Steaks and Chops

Affordable steaks anyone?

I've been hearing of Brickfire from some of my friends and on a day where Marcos Highway was locked in traffic and Marikina was flooded -_- we decided to try it out.

Yes I'm fat. Let it go.

We arrived there a bit early around 5:30 right before dinner time so it wasn't crowded at all. When we entered though it was really smoky. The ventilation wasn't really good but it was bearable.

For starters we orders nachos just because its a MUST!

Cheesy Nachos and Fries php 160.00

I should have learned by now that not all restaurants have good nachos. And just because I love nachos I still get them  every time. And yet again, it wasn't so good.

Anyway..... we both ordered the Cowgirl Annie Steaks for the main course

Cheap diba? Especially for steaks. I wouldn't say it's the best steak I've tasted, no, but for the price it was good. So yes I would recommend this for a casual lunch or dinner. 3/5

Sulok cafe

It's like every month a new restaurant/ cafe is opening here in Antipolo.

Lo and behold SULOK Cafe.

Our table sa sulok.

 The Menu

For some reason, chalk paint is a thin now, It looks nice and yes I want a chalk painted wall in my house but too many restaurants are using this,

Anyway, the ambiance of Sulok cafe is actually nice. We went there when they were still on their soft opening. The walls, lighting, and all interior I approve of. Not the most comfy cafe but it is nice to my taste. My taste in food though is highly different.

You have to order and pay first at the counter for your orders. It's more of self service which is no problem for me. I mean Starbucks and other cafes are the same.

Cappuccino

Spicy Chicken Bagizza

Fish Tacos

Okay so honestly, I didn't like the food or the drinks. The coffee was barako probably from batangas or somewhere. I had to add sugar or muscuvado (they don't use regular sugar) coz the cappuccino was just off. They are a bit over priced. And for the drinks, like a regular shake is 130 then a large is 230? so unless its doubled in size literally, I don't know how they calculated that.

I don't want to make lait every dish one by one but 1-10 this cafe I give 2 for the food and maybe 6 for the interior. Haha parang super professional magcriticize e noh.

The one thing I did enjoy though was that you can write on the chalk wall.

TADAH!

I think the only reason we visited this place was because it is located right outside our village and this was a week of continuous rain. Yung nakakatamad na bed weather.

So if you want to give it a try here are the details.
BTW, they have free wifi
